Cuddzy Tales is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Reels Video Editor to join our growing team in Cuddalore.
You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into engaging, high-quality short-form content for Instagram and other digital platforms. The ideal candidate should understand Reels editing, storytelling, pacing, on-screen captions and audience retention.
Responsibilities
• Edit Instagram Reels and other short-form videos from raw footage
• Create engaging hooks and maintain strong pacing throughout the Reel
• Add clean and visually appealing on-screen captions and text animations
• Edit talking-head, product, jewellery, fashion and promotional content
• Select and synchronize music, sound effects and dialogue
• Add transitions, motion graphics and basic visual effects where required
• Perform colour correction and basic colour grading
• Create edits that are visually engaging and optimized for social media
• Follow creative direction and implement feedback accurately
• Organize project files and deliver edits within agreed timelines
• Maintain consistency in editing style and quality across multiple projects
Qualifications
• Good knowledge of DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro
• Strong understanding of Instagram Reels and short-form content
• Good sense of storytelling, pacing and visual composition
• Ability to create engaging on-screen captions and text animations
• Understanding of music, sound design and beat synchronization
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics and VFX is a plus
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Freshers with a strong portfolio/showreel are welcome to apply
• A portfolio demonstrating previous Reels/short-form editing work is preferred
