The Human Resources Manager/Office Manager is the initial face of Redhead Supports for all prospective employees and, therefore, will exude a cheery, benevolent, and effervescent disposition to ensure all new employees grasp the Redhead Supports vision and culture.
The Human Resources Manager/Office Manager should seek out the highest quality employees possible (i.e., prospective employees’ skill sets and abilities are commensurate with the responsibilities inherent to the position being filled, and there is goodness of fit and the clarity of the “WHY” with regard to the individual’s commitment to and alignment with the values, mantra, and mission of Redhead Supports).
The Human Resources Manager/Office Manager strives to recruit, hire, and onboard, “pleasantly steady” employees who will most effectively assist Redhead Supports accomplish our goals.
Furthermore, the Human Resources Manager/Office Manager shall maintain pristine, thoroughly organized, and up-to-date employee files. The Human Resources Manager/Office Manager should be a competent, human-centered, highly supportive, efficient, and adaptive person that is focused on results and not cutting corners or minimizing trainings. Thus ensuring that the right people (certifications and qualifications) are in the right positions in the right quantities (hiring/staffing), utilizing the right practices and procedures. (labor laws, benefits, corrective action, PTO, etc.)
Requirements
- Schedule and conduct initial and second (when appropriate) interviews with prospective staff and management candidates.
- Advise Executive Team when called upon regarding matching people to positions (i.e., House Managers, Program Manager, Program Coordinator, admin, Secretary of State, etc.) and staffing needs.
- Schedule initial and second (if appropriate) interviews with Executive Team for admin and management positions.
- Check references for all prospective employees.
- Make job offers.
- Decline to hire notifications.
- Schedule New Hire Orientation, CPR/First Aid, Safety Care training and Medication Certification sign-ups.
- Update and create new hire packets.
- Prepare new hire packets for New Hire Orientation.
- Collect completed new hire packets.
- Co-facilitate New Hire Orientation.
- Process new hire paperwork.
- Process background checks.
- Seek out creative and innovative strategies for marketing staffing positions and recruiting new employees.
- Interface with community organizations and build relationships and partnerships for purposes of recruiting.
- Maintain and update internal and external job postings.
- Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of employee files and certifications
- BCI renewal process
- Upload to our online system all new hire, certification, and employee-relevant items
- Audit employee files
- Prepare for audits by regulatory agencies (OL, DSPD, etc.)
- Log training hours from program staff meetings
- Archive termed employee files
- Manage annual review schedule
- Implement enrollment of employees in benefits plans.
- Manage garnishments and workers comp claims
