Job description
Install, configure, and maintain RedHat Linux and Windows Server environments.
Administer and manage Oracle and SQL Server databases including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
Monitor system and database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
Perform database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Manage user access, permissions, and security policies across Linux, Windows, and database systems.
Troubleshoot system, application, and database issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Automate routine administrative tasks using shell scripting or PowerShell.
Implement and maintain high availability and replication solutions for Oracle and SQL Server databases.
Work with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and database changes.
Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience with RedHat Linux administration.
Experience managing Windows Server environments.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration.
Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, SQL backups).
Experience with performance tuning and database optimization.
Familiarity with scripting (Bash, Shell, PowerShell).
Knowledge of security best practices, patch management, and system monitoring tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with clustered environments and high availability solutions.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Certifications in RedHat, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server are a plus.
