SUMMARY
Monitors improprieties, scams and cheats on the gaming floor. Responsible for preserving the integrity of gaming by performing the following duties. Due to the dynamic nature of the gaming industry, the particular aspects of this position can change with little or no notice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain a fundamental knowledge of all departmental policies and procedures.
- Observes, reports and records daily casino activity using closed circuit television monitors. Observes and records “back of the house” activities.
- Reports procedure deviations and/or deceptive activity of employees or patrons to the Surveillance Supervisor.
- Ensures safety and integrity of the entire casino operations through observation.
- Must learn, comprehend and comply with all Company policies and procedures, MICS, Gaming Regulations and Title 31 Regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.

As a condition of employment with Red Earth Casino, Surveillance personnel are prohibited from dating employees, living with employees or having an immediate relative (spouse, child, father, mother, sister, brother, grandfather, grandmother or grandchild) working in the following areas: All cash or check redemption areas in the Cage, Soft Count, Vault and all class III Table Games or Slot areas on the casino floor.
Surveillance personnel may transfer to a position in another department except for the following positions: Any cash or check redemption areas of the Cage, Soft Count, Vault and all Class III Table Games or Slot areas on the Casino floor. All transfers from the Surveillance Department must be pre-approved by the Surveillance Manager and the General Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED and (1) year experience in casino surveillance, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Two years experience in surveillance, loss prevention, military surveillance service or investigations is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication as well as the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Must be able to work with negative and positive numbers
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with varying situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Gaming license issued by the Tribal Gaming Agency
