About the group
We operate four businesses out of Bettiah: Alok Bharati Shikshan Sansthan (ABSS) — a CBSE-affiliated K-12 school; an LG-authorised electronics showroom; and two hotels.
Role summary
The Recruitment Manager owns the full hiring funnel across all four businesses, with the school (ABSS) as the primary focus (roughly 60–70% of the role). You will build sourcing pipelines, run searches end-to-end, and become the person who can reliably bring in the right candidate for any open role across the group, on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
JD and role definition. Work with the Principal, business heads, and the Owner to clarify what each open role actually needs — qualifications, experience, behaviours, must-haves vs nice-to-haves — and convert that into a sharp JD.
Sourcing. Build and maintain an active candidate pipeline for each business.
Screening and shortlisting. Phone screens, written assessments where relevant (especially demo lessons for teachers), and shortlisting against role criteria.
Interview coordination. Run the interview process end-to-end — scheduling, briefing interviewers, preparing structured interview guides, collecting feedback, and keeping candidates warm through the process.
Demo lessons and practical assessments. For teaching roles, coordinate demo classes — finding a suitable class and date, briefing the candidate, organising observers, collecting evaluations.
Reference and background checks. Always do them, including a phone call to the previous school or employer. Document outcomes.
Offer and negotiation. Prepare offer letters, negotiate within sanctioned bands, handle counter-offers, and close. Manage the period between offer and joining actively — most no-shows happen here.
Required qualifications and experience
Bachelor's degree minimum; MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent preferred
4–7 years in recruitment, with at least 2 years on school/teacher hiring strongly preferred
Strong written and spoken English
Comfortable using a computer and MS Office regularly; familiar with hiring platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Naukri.com
Compensation
₹30,000 per month.
