About The Role
The Talent Sourcing Intern position at STEPS Talent offers a unique opportunity for students and early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in international recruitment operations. As part of the Global Sourcing Program, interns will work on live US-based hiring mandates under the mentorship of seasoned recruiters and program leaders. This internship is designed to develop practical skills in candidate sourcing, evaluation, and recruitment workflows, with a focus on global talent acquisition strategies. Interns will learn to utilize various sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri, and alumni networks, and will be involved in candidate assessment and documentation processes. High performers may be given opportunities to observe live interviews, participate in specialized hiring projects, and be considered for future roles within STEPS Talent.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who are currently enrolled in their 2nd or 3rd year of a Bachelor's program, or pursuing an MBA or Master’s degree. Individuals with a keen interest in recruitment, HR, consulting, business operations, or technology hiring are encouraged to apply. Prior recruitment experience is not necessary; however, candidates should possess strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, professional communication skills, learning agility, and an ownership mindset. This internship is suitable for students eager to develop a career in talent acquisition and global recruitment operations.
Responsibilities
- Source potential candidates for active US-based job requisitions using platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri, referrals, and alumni networks.
- Evaluate candidate profiles against job descriptions and skill requirements to identify suitable talent.
- Submit structured candidate assessments through internal tracking systems to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain sourcing quality standards, documentation, and candidate data accuracy throughout the recruitment process.
- Participate in training sessions, sourcing workshops, and recruiter-led learning modules to enhance sourcing skills.
- Collaborate with team members and recruiters to support ongoing hiring mandates and improve sourcing strategies.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the recruitment workflow by adhering to best practices and organizational standards.
