Location: Hybrid (Washington State required
Compensation: $29.80 - $36.05/hr

About Recovery Café Network
Recovery Café Network trains, supports, and connects communities using the Recovery Café Model: a healing, drug- and alcohol-free space where people recover from anything that blocks our capacity to love and be loved. We help organizations launch and sustain Recovery Cafés through cohort-based learning, mentorship, tools, and shared practice.
The Role
You’re a creative, collaborative communicator with strong writing skills and a solid foundation in design and analytics. Reporting to the Associate Director of Engagement & Communications, you’ll guide marketing/communications strategy, create compelling multi-channel content, and ensure brand consistency across training and outreach materials—helping position RCN as a national leader in building healing communities.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute RCN’s marketing and communications strategy and annual communications plan
- Create clear, compelling content across channels (web, email, social, print) tailored to key audiences
- Maintain brand standards; design core collateral and digital assets (one-pagers, decks, event materials, swag)
- Oversee and keep the website up to date; optimize content for usability and engagement
- Produce a monthly e-newsletter highlighting stories of healing across the Network, using analytics to track performance
- Collect and elevate stories from Member Cafés using a trauma-informed approach
- Support media relations (messaging, press releases/advisories, media coordination with leadership)
- Manage vendors/contractors as needed (printing, design, video) and maintain outreach-material inventory
- Facilitate communication best-practice sharing across the Network; collaborating cross-departmentally including Monitoring and Development and Training and Development teams.
What You’ll Bring
- Must live in Washington State.
- 3+ years of relevant marketing/communications experience
- Excellent writing and editing; ability to adapt messages for diverse audiences
- Design capability for collateral and digital assets (Adobe/Canva or similar)
- Analytics fluency (web/email/social) to measure results and improve strategy
- Strong collaboration, organization, and comfort working remotely across time zones
- Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Nice to Have
- WordPress, Mailchimp, and/or Salesforce experience
- Trauma-informed interviewing/storytelling experience
- Experience in social services and/or proximity to recovery communities
- Bilingual Spanish/English
