Job Description

Build games, user-generated content, and tools that allow players to make their own games and spaces and sell their creations via in-game economy across multiple platforms (mobile, console, VR). Design and build creative tools that players use to build within Rec Room collaboratively. Develop social gaming features to connect players. Build robust and secure systems and tools. Contribute creatively to the game design process. Design and build a wide variety of features and systems cross collaboratively with other teams. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Entertainment Technology, Games & Playable Media, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

One Year Of Work Experience In

• Applying User Interface, User Interaction, and User Experience Design and Development Principles to software and/or computer game development;
• Analyzing Relational Database and utilizing SQL to handle queries and maintain data integrity;
• Non-relational Database/Storage Technology including NoSQL and Blob;
• Web application development including HTML, CSS, HTTP, and RESTful API;
• Distributed System/Cloud Services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP;
  
  

Requires Education Or Experience In

• Designing, developing, implementing, and testing computer games;
• Utilizing Unity and/or Unreal cross-platform game engine to develop features and systems;
• 2D and 3D computer game design;
• Computer game programming utilizing dynamic and object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, and Python;
• Working in a cross-discipline development team to rapidly iterate and create games.
