Role Description: The Rebar Detailer will prepare accurate, code‑compliant rebar shop drawings, bar bending schedules, and placement drawings based on structural and architectural plans. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include interpreting design drawings, coordinating with internal estimators and external stakeholders, and updating drawings to reflect design changes and field revisions. The role involves using industry‑standard software (such as AutoCAD and RebarCAD) to generate detailed fabrication information and ensure clarity for production and site installation. The Rebar Detailer will also help identify conflicts or constructability issues, maintain documentation, and support quality and delivery timelines. This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Salem.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in rebar detailing software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, RebarCAD, and similar CAD applications).
- Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and civil engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, industry standards, and rebar detailing practices for commercial and infrastructure projects.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in bar lists and schedules, and strong problem‑solving skills when identifying drawing conflicts.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with estimators, engineers, and project coordinators.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; prior experience in rebar detailing or structural drafting is preferred.
- Comfort working with deadlines in a high‑volume production environment and willingness to learn new tools and methods.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Rebar Detailing.
