About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer with expertise in React JS to join our dynamic team at TCS in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging, high-performance web interfaces that enhance user experience across various digital platforms. Your primary focus will be on creating responsive and visually appealing applications that are intuitive and accessible. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, backend developers, and project managers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional web pages.
The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of React.js and front-end development best practices, along with a keen eye for design aesthetics. Your contributions will be vital in building scalable, maintainable, and user-centric applications that align with business goals and technical standards. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of 3 to 6 years of professional experience in front-end development, specifically with React JS, is required. Proficiency in core web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is essential. Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks, libraries, and tools such as Redux, Webpack, and Babel will be advantageous. Experience with version control systems like Git, and knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration, are also important.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are critical. Candidates should demonstrate a good understanding of web accessibility standards, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization techniques. Entry-level design skills and experience with UI/UX principles will be considered a plus. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and innovation are highly valued.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement user interfaces for web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js, ensuring responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into fully functional, visually appealing web pages.
Maintain and enhance existing web applications, ensuring they are optimized for performance, usability, and accessibility standards.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Manage and support production environments, including configuring and maintaining web servers (Nginx) and service managers (NSSM).
Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow between client and server.
Optimize application components for maximum speed and scalability across various devices and browsers.
Conduct usability testing, gather user feedback, and implement improvements to enhance user experience.
Stay updated with emerging web technologies and industry best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
Assist in creating and maintaining design systems, component libraries, and documentation to ensure consistency across projects.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
