Remote Cyber Security Engineer

RDX Works is hiring a Remote Cyber Security Engineer (💰~$90k). What is the job? Would you thrive in a role where you get to identify & manage new threats, which come from working within the crypto industry? If so you've come to the right place, because as our new Cyber Security Engineer, you will be collaborating across multiple channels to create highly visible work, whilst identifying new security trends and leading both attack and defence responses. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Cyber Security, supporting all areas of the business. You will be taking the lead across several security projects as well as providing advice, training, and support to the rest of the business. The world of crypto moves quickly and decentralized finance ("DeFi," RDX Works particular area of crypto) is proving to move quickest of all, so we need an excellent Cyber Security Engineer to tackle the unique security challenges our industry faces. What does the job entail? You'll take the lead on several security projects that impact all areas of the business. You'll mentor and support the security team, bringing experience and visibility of security issues across the industry to the team. You'll need to assess compliance against security policies, and come up with proportional strategies for improvement. You'll take the lead on root cause analysis, incident management, and communication with non-technical teams. You'll be responsible for providing security education and training across the company. What do you need? You need commercial cyber security experience in either senior engineer or architect postions whilst, demonstrating experience working on SaaS solutions & Cloud infrastructure. You will need demonstratable project management expertise, in particular leading multiple security implementation/integration projects. You will need to have demonstratable experience with GRC and supporting audit and compliance activities. You need to be competent in threat assessment and vulnerability lifecycle management. You need to be confident taking the lead in incident response and remediation. You should be able to display critical thinking skills, with an ability to quickly delivery root cause analysis, and explain it to non-security stakeholders.
