Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and creative Intern Hairstylist to join our salon team. This role is ideal for a cosmetology student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional salon environment. The Intern Hairstylist will assist senior stylists, learn advanced techniques, and provide excellent customer service while building foundational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior stylists with services, including shampooing, conditioning, and blow-drying
- Prepare clients for haircuts, coloring, and styling services
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and salon areas
- Sanitize tools and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support front desk operations, including greeting clients and scheduling appointments
- Observe and learn hairstyling techniques
- Provide basic styling services under supervision, as skills develop
- Recommend salon products to clients when appropriate
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a cosmetology program
- Basic knowledge of hair care techniques and products
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
