Description
We are seeking a hardworking, self-starting experienced Payroll Specialist professional to provide support in the Human Resources Department at RAM Enterprise, Inc., located in Elko, Nevada. This position is responsible for maintaining payroll systems and processing paychecks according to schedule and in the correct amount. The duties include consolidating timesheet information and entering data into payroll databases, calculating paycheck amounts, and distributing funds to employee accounts.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.
Requirements
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processing of employee payroll and distribution of paychecks
- Conduct audits of tax forms and payroll balance sheets
- Coordinate closely with team members from all facilities to ensure accurate and timely collection of timekeeping information
- Checking timesheets for accuracy
- Handling direct deposit requests and data
- Processing paper checks for distribution
- Reconcile payroll statements
- Process and distribute payroll to all facilities according to payroll schedule
- Respond to garnishments & calculate deductions for payroll
- Manage post-payroll reports
- Provide reports to executives and accounting as needed
- Knowledge of multistate payroll and employment laws
Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· 3-5 years minimum experience with processing payroll
· Experience with a payroll processing system required
· HCSS software (Heavy Job and Dispatcher) experience a plus
· Excellent Excel skills and experience required
· Exceptional attention to detail and takes full ownership of timeliness and accuracy
· Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to work confidently with large data sets and complex calculations
· Always maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality
· Must be organized and self-directed, working with little to no supervision
· Ability to multitask and flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
· Comply with all policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook
