DevOps Engineer
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate end‑to‑end CI/CD systems, along with installation and packaging of the Oscilloscope Platform and applications.
Experience: 3+ years in DevOps, CI/CD, Build & Release Engineering
Responsibilities
CI/CD Platform Ownership
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based builds and web deployments across multiple applications.
- Own and continuously improve Jenkins pipeline architecture, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
- Standardize and evolve CI/CD processes, tooling, and best practices across teams.
Cloud & Infrastructure (AWS)
- Design, manage, and optimize AWS-based CI/CD infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance using redundancy, autoscaling, and resilient architecture.
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for CI/CD platforms and supporting services.
- Monitor and optimize capacity, performance, and cost of CI/CD infrastructure.
Reliability, Disaster Recovery & Operations
- Design and maintain disaster recovery strategies for CI/CD infrastructure.
- Own and validate backup, restore, and failover procedures for critical CI/CD components.
- Ensure business continuity and infrastructure resilience.
- Create and maintain runbooks for common and high‑severity operational scenarios.
Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
- Lead CI/CD troubleshooting during build and deployment failures.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive long‑term corrective actions.
- Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement before impacting delivery.
DevSecOps Enablement
- Implement and maintain DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate security tooling, including:
- Static code analysis
- Dependency and vulnerability scanning
- Secrets management
- Champion shift‑left security across engineering teams.
Automation, Python & Generative AI
- Develop Python-based automation to reduce manual effort and improve CI/CD efficiency.
- Leverage Generative AI for:
- CI/CD pipeline creation and optimization
- Troubleshooting and RCA assistance
- Documentation and runbook generation
Collaboration, Planning & Communication
- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable CI/CD solutions.
- Translate application and platform needs into reusable, future‑ready DevOps architectures.
- Anticipate future infrastructure needs and present scalable improvement proposals to management.
- Work within Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) using tools like JIRA.
- Create and maintain documentation and knowledge artifacts.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices.
Must-Have Skill Set
DevOps, CI/CD & Configuration Management
- Strong proficiency in Python (preferred) or C#.
- Scripting experience with Shell, Groovy, PowerShell, or Batch.
- Solid understanding of Linux and Windows OS administration.
- Hands-on expertise in CI/CD and release processes using Jenkins / GitHub Actions.
- Strong Git experience with GitHub / Bitbucket.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform.
- AWS (mandatory); Azure exposure is a plus.
Cloud & Infrastructure (AWS)
- Hands-on experience designing and operating AWS-based CI/CD infrastructure, including:
- EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, ALB/NLB, Auto Scaling
- Strong understanding of high‑availability and fault‑tolerant architectures.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
CI/CD Engineering
- Strong experience in end-to-end CI/CD pipeline design, maintenance, scaling, and migrations.
- Deep expertise in CI/CD troubleshooting across pipelines, tools, and infrastructure layers.
DevSecOps & Reliability
- Experience integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of secure SDLC and DevSecOps best practices.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD infrastructure reliability and disaster recovery, including backups and failover strategies.
Containers & Platforms
- Hands-on experience with Docker.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes for CI/CD and platform workloads.
Collaboration & Communication
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and translate requirements into scalable DevOps solutions.
Good to Have / Nice to Have
- Build and Release workflows using Visual Studio IDE.
- Packaging tools such as InstallShield / InstallScript.
- Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
- Experience with VMware vSphere / virtual machines.
- Static code analysis, code coverage, and unit testing tools (SonarQube, NUnit, MSTest, JUnit).
