Description

  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional food and beverage service to guests in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure all items are delivered to guests in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
  • Provide service in all Food and Beverage areas of the property, including but not limited to the bar, restaurant, and gaming floor.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, beverage offerings, daily specials, and promotional items in order to effectively assist guests and answer questions.
  • Monitor guest needs throughout their visit, ensuring requests are addressed promptly and guests receive attentive, high-quality service during their entire dining experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service areas, including tables, workstations, and surrounding guest areas, in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned to ensure efficient departmental operations.
  • Assist with seating guests, bussing tables, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment when needed.
  • Prepare and deliver beverages and food orders while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Operate as an independent cashier, accurately processing guest payments and maintaining accountability for assigned cash banks or tills.
  • Comply with all applicable gaming regulations, alcohol service laws, and company policies related to food and beverage operations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
  • Uphold personal hygiene and professional appearance standards in accordance with departmental and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth service and positive guest experiences.
  • Answer departmental phone calls professionally and direct inquiries or calls appropriately when necessary.
  • Promote a positive team environment by cooperating with coworkers and assisting other team members when needed to support efficient operations.
  • Provide guests with information regarding property amenities, promotions, Players Club benefits, and special events as appropriate.
  • Review and stay informed of menu updates, service procedures, and departmental communications.
  • Follow all company service standards and contribute to maintaining a high level of hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Working Conditions & Environment:

  • Work is performed in a fast-paced casino and hospitality environment.
  • The work environment may include loud noise from gaming machines, music, and guest activity.
  • Exposure to secondhand smoke may occur in designated gaming areas.
  • Position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to work all shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Requires frequent interaction with guests, team members, and management in a high-traffic environment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must possess and maintain a current Food Handler’s Card as required by local health regulations.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification in accordance with California ABC requirements.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, in order to interact with guests and team members.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests and coworkers.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and carry out assigned tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and service standards.
  • Must demonstrate reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills required for handling guest payments and operating a cash bank.
  • Previous customer service or food and beverage experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
  • Must comply with all company policies, gaming rules and regulations, including confidentiality requirements and workplace conduct standards.
  • Indian Preference will be observed in accordance with Tribal hiring policies.

The Food and Beverage Server is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by

providing food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage service in a timely, courteous, and

professional manner. This position ensures a positive dining experience by maintaining high

standards of hospitality, product knowledge, and service efficiency. The Server takes orders,

delivers food and beverages accurately, and attends to guest needs while maintaining a clean,

organized, and safe service environment. The Server is expected to uphold all applicable

health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards while consistently demonstrating a

commitment to guest satisfaction.
