Detailed Roles & Responsibilities | RK Group – Railway Hospitality Hiring


🔹 1. Train Manager

Postions: 33 Total

Location: Pan India

Experience: 5+ Years into QSR/Food industry/Operations Management

Qualification: BHM, IHM, B.Sc Hotel Management.


Core Responsibility: Complete ownership of onboard operations, revenue, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end onboard catering & service operations across assigned train
  • Lead and supervise onboard staff (GREs, pantry team, service crew)
  • Ensure sales targets are achieved through active selling & upselling
  • Monitor food quality, hygiene, and compliance standards
  • Handle passenger complaints and escalations in real-time
  • Coordinate with IRCTC, pantry vendors, and internal teams
  • Maintain daily reports (sales, stock, incidents, feedback)
  • Ensure proper inventory management and stock reconciliation


🔹 2. Station Manager (AGM Level)


Postions: 03

Location: Pan India

Experience: 10+ Years into QSR/Food industry/Operations Management

Qualification: IHM Manadate


Core Responsibility: Control tower for station-based operations and multiple train movements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee complete station operations including multiple train departures/arrivals
  • Manage large teams including Train Managers, Rake Managers, and ground staff
  • Ensure timely loading/unloading of catering materials
  • Monitor operational efficiency, delays, and issue resolution
  • Maintain strict quality control & food safety standards
  • Coordinate with railway authorities, vendors, and logistics teams
  • Track performance metrics, revenue, and operational KPIs
  • Handle audits, compliance checks, and escalation management


🔹 3. Guest Relationship Executive (GRE / CRM)

Postions: 40

Location: Pan India

Experience: 0 to 2 Years into QSR/customer handling field.

Qualification: BHM, BBA, Any Degree

Requirements: Good communication skills (Mandatory), Knowledge on English &Hindi


Core Responsibility: Frontline passenger interaction and service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with passengers and ensure a premium customer experience onboard
  • Handle complaints, queries, and feedback professionally
  • Promote and support onboard sales (meals, add-ons, services)
  • Assist in service delivery and passenger coordination
  • Maintain grooming standards and brand representation
  • Provide real-time updates to Train Manager on issues/escalations
  • Ensure customer satisfaction scores are maintained/improved


🔹 4. Rake Manager


Postions: 71

Location: Pan India

Experience: 2+ Years into QSR/Food industry/Operations Management

Qualification: BHM, B.Sc Hotel Management, Diploma in Hotel Management


Core Responsibility: Backend execution of train preparation and supply chain coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper loading of food, beverages, and materials before departure
  • Coordinate with kitchen, vendors, and logistics teams
  • Verify quantity, quality, and stock availability for each trip
  • Monitor timely dispatch and readiness of train racks
  • Handle inventory tracking and wastage control
  • Support Train Manager in operational readiness
  • Maintain documentation and reporting for stock movement
