QA Engineer - Contractual

This is a remote position. About the Role We are seeking experienced QA Engineers with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing for a contractual engagement. The ideal candidates will work closely with our development and product teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. This is a remote position with work hours aligned to 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST to overlap with our US-based team. Key Responsibilities Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using appropriate tools. Identify, document, and track bugs using standard bug tracking systems. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Collaborate with internal teams (developers, product managers) to identify system requirements. Monitor the debugging process and provide feedback for improvement. Track and report quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defects. Stay updated with current QA trends, tools, and methodologies. Requirements 3 to 5 years of experience in manual and automation testing. Proven work experience in software development and software quality assurance. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Hands-on experience with white-box and black-box testing. Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, etc.). Hands-on experience in API testing. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes. Experience in performance and/or security testing is a plus. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
