Job Title: Field Service Technician
Reports To: Region Operations Manager or Field Service Supervisor
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Performs electrical apparatus work onsite at customers facilities. This includes electrical testing, preventative maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs to electrical apparatus.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Transformer Testing – Power factor, TTR, insulation resistance, SFRA, winding resistance, partial discharge, and leakage reactance.

Cable Testing – Insulation resistance, tan delta, hipot, TDR, partial discharge, and cable thumper

Circuit Breaker Testing – Insulation resistance, contact resistance, power factor, breaker timing, SF6 gas analysis, CT testing, high current testing, secondary injection testing, and vacuum bottle integrity testing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience in electrical substation testing, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly, and commissioning is preferred, but not required.

Must be willing to obtain a company paid TWIC card, OSHA 10/30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70E, and CPR training.
