Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Radiology Medical Coder. The Radiology Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing medical records and assigning appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for radiology services to ensure accurate and compliant billing. Additional responsibilities include verifying documentation integrity, ensuring alignment with payer-specific guidelines, working with healthcare providers to improve coding accuracy, and assisting with audits to maintain quality assurance standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Coding with a focus on CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for radiology
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with payer-specific and regulatory guidelines
- Familiarity with healthcare software and electronic medical records systems
- Solid analytical and research skills to ensure proper code selection
- Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in the healthcare or revenue cycle management industry is a plus
