Position Summary
We are currently seeking a PRN Echo Sonographer for our Daytona Beach, FL location. This position is responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac echocardiography examinations while ensuring exceptional image quality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform cardiac echocardiography exams with accuracy and professionalism
Greet patients and explain procedures in a clear, compassionate manner
Use independent judgment to adapt procedures and identify pathological findings
Ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards
Maintain ultrasound equipment and manage supply inventory
Respond appropriately to emergency situations (AED use, oxygen, etc.)
Support occasional evening or Saturday shifts
Float to Port Orange and Deltona locations as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma required
Graduate of an accredited sonography program
Minimum of 1 year of cardiac echo sonography experience
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echo (AE) specialty required
Current BLS certification required
Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and echocardiography procedures
Proficiency with ultrasound imaging equipment
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to lift and move patients and equipment (up to 50 lbs)
Team-oriented, flexible, and dependable
Work Environment
Medical office and imaging exam rooms
Exposure to standard clinical hazards (e.g., needles, radiation)
Fast-paced, patient-facing environment
