About The Opportunity
A clinical role in the private healthcare sector delivering diagnostic imaging and radiology services across multi-specialty hospital settings in India. The position focuses on ensuring accurate imaging interpretation, timely reporting, and close collaboration with clinical teams to support high-quality patient diagnosis and treatment decisions while maintaining compliance with hospital protocols and NABH standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Interpret and report diagnostic imaging studies including X-ray, CT, ultrasound, and mammography.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of radiological findings to support clinical decision-making.
- Identify abnormalities, injuries, and disease conditions using imaging modalities.
- Provide opinion and consultation to treating physicians and surgeons for further management planning.
- Support emergency and critical care teams with urgent imaging interpretation (trauma, stroke, acute abdomen, etc.).
- Perform and/or supervise image-guided procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages where applicable.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and safe imaging practices.
- Maintain accurate radiology records, reports, and documentation in PACS/RIS systems.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions (MDT) for complex cases.
- Collaborate with radiology technicians, nurses, and clinical teams for workflow efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with NABH guidelines, hospital policies, and quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in imaging quality and reporting accuracy.
Must-Have (Qualifications)
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Radiodiagnosis (mandatory).
- Valid registration with the Karnataka Medical Council (KMC) / National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Prior experience in diagnostic radiology reporting is preferred.
- Exposure to CT, ultrasound, and emergency radiology cases is desirable.
- Willingness to work on-site in rotational shifts or reporting schedules as per hospital requirements.
