Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position located in Kolkata for a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer. The RF Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing RF circuits, developing and testing RF and microwave systems, and utilizing tools like spectrum and network analyzers for system diagnostics and optimization. Additional responsibilities include supporting the integration of RF systems into broader electronic systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, simulate, and validate active and passive RF circuits, including Power Amplifiers (PA), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA), Mixers, Filters, Switches, and Couplers.
- Develop and analyze mixed-signal circuits and integrate them within radar and communication subsystems.
- Optimize RF front-end systems, ensuring superior noise figure, gain, and linearity.
- Perform impedance matching and network characterisation using S-parameters, Smith charts, and vector network analyzers.
- Execute circuit design and EM simulations using ADS and HFSS, and design analog/digital circuits in KiCAD.
- Handle PCB design and prototyping from scratch, ensuring manufacturability, thermal, and signal-integrity compliance.
- Work with measurement tools such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and oscilloscopes for testing and validation.
- Apply a sound understanding of EM fundamentals, impedance control, and transmission-line theory throughout the design process.
- Maintain systematic documentation of design processes, simulation data, and test results.
- Deliver high-quality work within defined timelines through careful analysis, troubleshooting, and disciplined execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Years of Experience: 2 - 7
