Overview

The Functional Consultant – Record To Report will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials modules related to the R2R cycle. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end users to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support end-to-end implementation of Oracle Fusion Financials with a focus on General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Period Close.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to the Record to Report process.
  • Configure and customize Oracle Fusion modules as needed to align with business goals.
  • Support financial close activities, reconciliations, journal processing, and financial reporting.
  • Perform functional testing (SIT/UAT), prepare test scripts, and support defect resolution.
  • Collaborate with technical teams for integration , data conversions including mapping, transformation rules, validation , and reporting requirements.
  • Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot issues, and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Prepare functional documentation, user guides, and conduct end-user training.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Manage and support intercompany accounting, including setups, transaction flows, balancing rules, reconciliation, and elimination processes.
  • Support configuration and compliance for local taxation requirements for India (GST/TDS), Philippines (EWT/VAT), and the United States (Sales Tax/Use Tax).
  • Design and configure Advanced Allocations for periodic expense allocations, recurring journals, and complex distribution logic.
  • Work with technical teams to define and support Bank Integrations, including bank account setups, statement formats, H2H/SFTP integrations, and reconciliation in Cash Management.

Qualifications

  • Strong functional knowledge of Record to Report processes, including intercompany, allocations, and multi-entity consolidation.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials (GL, FA, CM, AP; SLA knowledge is a plus).
  • Practical experience with local taxation setups, especially India GST/TDS, Philippines VAT/EWT, and US Sales/Use Tax.
  • Experience configuring intercompany setups, balancing rules, natural accounting segment structures, and reconciliation.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, taxation requirements, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in requirement gathering, solution design, and system configuration.
  • Exposure to integrations with sub-ledgers and third-party systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in Data Conversion — mapping, templates, validations, and testing.
  • Knowledge of Bank Integration processes, bank statement processing, reconciliation rules, and CM setups.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Fusion Financials certification.
  • Experience with multi-ledger, multi-currency, and global implementations.
  • Exposure reporting tools such as OTBI or BI Publisher.
  • Experience in Agile or waterfall project methodologies.
