About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Architect with deep expertise in Azure Cloud Data Platforms and strong Healthcare domain knowledge to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing enterprise-scale data architectures, modern cloud data platforms, and healthcare data integration solutions.
This role requires strong technical leadership, architecture expertise, stakeholder management capabilities, and prior experience working directly with healthcare clients.
You will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-performing healthcare data solutions leveraging Azure technologies while ensuring regulatory compliance, interoperability, and enterprise-grade governance.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Solution Design :
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performing Azure-based data platforms for enterprise healthcare clients.
Lead End-to-end Architecture For Modern Data Ecosystems, Including
- Data ingestion
- Data transformation
- Data integration
- Data warehousing
- Analytics and reporting
- Develop robust data architectures using Azure cloud-native services aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Define enterprise data strategies, data governance frameworks, and best practices for cloud-based healthcare environments.
- Design technical solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and implementation roadmaps.
Azure Cloud Data Platform Architecture
- Architect and implement modern Azure data platforms using:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- SQL Managed Instance
- Power BI
- Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data orchestration frameworks.
- Build secure, resilient, and optimized cloud data architectures with performance, scalability, and cost efficiency in mind.
- Develop integration strategies across enterprise systems, APIs, and external healthcare platforms.
Healthcare Data Integration & Compliance
Design and implement healthcare interoperability solutions using :
- HL7
- FHIR
- Mirth Connect
- Ensure healthcare data compliance and governance aligned with:
- HIPAA regulations
- Data privacy standards
- Security and compliance requirements
- Build healthcare data models supporting:
- Clinical data
- Patient records
- Claims data
- Interoperability frameworks
- Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to understand workflows, regulatory requirements, and data exchange needs.
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Work directly with healthcare clients in a client-facing role to gather requirements and define solution strategies.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to business stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, and leadership teams.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture workshops, and solution reviews with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Translate business problems into scalable and technically feasible architecture solutions.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor and guide engineering, data, and implementation teams on architecture best practices.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle from discovery to deployment.
- Conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, and solution validations.
- Support teams in troubleshooting technical challenges and architectural bottlenecks.
Agile Delivery & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate closely with :
- Data Engineers
- Cloud Teams
- Developers
- Business Analysts
- Product Owners
- Healthcare Domain Teams
- Work effectively in fast-paced, agile environments with cross-functional squads.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog discussions, architecture governance, and technical reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong prior experience working as a Technical Architect or Solution Architect for Healthcare clients.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing Azure Cloud Data Platforms and enterprise data architectures.
Strong Expertise In
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- SQL Managed Instance
- T-SQL
- Power BI
- Strong programming/scripting experience in:
- Python
- PowerShell
- Hands-on experience with API Integration and enterprise system connectivity.
- Deep understanding of healthcare interoperability standards:
- HL7
- FHIR
- Mirth
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory compliance including HIPAA.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and solutioning capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Azure certifications are highly preferred :
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Azure Data Engineer Associate
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) domain.
- Prior experience in client-facing consulting or architecture roles.
- Experience building enterprise-scale cloud data and analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of modern data engineering and cloud-native architecture patterns.
