Summary And Project Overview
- Profile: an R Package Developer who can review and create code, work with sponsor SMEs to gather feedback, and update the code and requirements accordingly.
- Part of the 10+ team in a project optimizing processing of data collected from clinical trials and facilitating creation of all artifacts on the path to the Clinical Study Report.
- The sponsor is using multiple AI techniques to support R Programmers and create tools that are helping – from SAP, through SDTM, ADAM to TFLs generation.
- Some of the Programmers transition from SAS to R, hence some knowledge of SAS is needed as well.
- The R Package Developer will work closely with Biostatisticians and Programmers from the customer end to help in adoption of the tool, provide guidance how to use the tool, collect feedback and translate this into features of the products and participate in the development of the products as well.
- It’s not a team lead role – it’s an individual contributor, but proper seniority is required so that this person can act as an advisor & support in a given domain, not purely as technical/programming role.
Requirements
- Expertise in R for data analysis, data transformations, data plotting and visualization
- Experience in statistical data processing in clinical trials and drug development
- Basic SAS knowledge is needed as some of the legacy programs are in SAS
- R Shiny package familiarity
- Good communication skills, especially in the area of requirements analysis
Preferred But Not Required
- Experience in working in enterprise-class development environments & code management solutions like GitHub
- Experience in requirements gathering, analysis & product development
- Knowledge of software development life-cycle, testing, automation & deployments
- Experience in working with Agile methodologies, preferable using JIRA
- AWS services knowledge
