Bookkeeping: Record invoices, freight bills, and receivables Expense management: Track and manage daily expenses like fuel, maintenance, and driver salaries Tax management: Analyze, plan, and structure taxes, including multi-state taxation Cost analysis: Calculate the true cost of delivering goods to customers Budgeting: Create budgets and forecasts for cash flow Auditing: Conduct audits and provide assurance services Related job titles Trucking accountant, Logistics accountant, and Shipping accountant. Record and analyze transactions: Track expenses, revenue, and other financial transactions Prepare financial statements: Create balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports Manage payroll: Ensure timely and accurate payments for employees Comply with regulations: Ensure compliance with regulations related to fuel taxes, environmental standards, and employment laws Improve efficiency: Use accounting software and other technology to optimize processes and reduce costs
