Our Connectivity Solutions Group (CSG) develops protocol tools and validation solutions that support global customers in servers, storage, networking, AI/ML accelerators, and semiconductor markets. The teams span software, FPGA, hardware, validation, and system engineering, working together to deliver protocol-accurate IP, exercisers, analyzers, and automation frameworks.
This Operating Manager role sits within the PCIe / CXL / NVMe software organization, responsible for enabling next-generation protocol features, maintaining alignment with PCI-SIG ecosystem developments, and coordinating internal and external engineering execution.

Job Description
The Digital Photonics Center of Excellence (DP-COE), part of Keysight Technologies, is responsible for developing innovative products in the critical portfolio segment of Oscilloscopes, Photonics, AWG (Arbitrary Waveform Generator), BERT (Bit Error Rate
Tester), Digitizer, Logic Analysis, and Protocol Analysis. These products enable engineering teams worldwide to design with higher efficiency and quality across Computer, Semiconductor, Wireless, Automotive, Storage, Communication, and Quantum industries.
As a Software Expert / Architect, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in defining and delivering M8070B System Software Applications and Measurement on Bit Error Ratio platforms. Working closely with Product Planners, Solution Teams, and Customers, you will translate customer requirements into technical product architecture, ensuring innovative, reliable, and industry-leading solutions. This role also requires awareness of Physical layer technologies such as PCI-Express, USB, IEEE, MIPI, Memory, etc., and how they can be applied to enhance measurement accuracy, performance, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Partner with planners, product architects, and customers to define product requirements and transform them into robust software architecture.
- Architect and design M8070B system software and measurement solutions for BERT platforms.
- Own the end-to-end software stack, from hardware integration and measurement algorithms to GUI (WPF) and advanced visualization.
- Ensure solutions deliver measurement accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Establish coding standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks.
- Collaborate across global R&D teams (Europe, US, Asia) for development and integration.
- Mentor advanced engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and architectures for innovation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of R&D experience in software product development.
- Strong expertise in C#, C++, and WPF for professional applications.
- Experience in measurement software and application development.
- Proven experience in defining and architecting products based on customer and planner input.
- Awareness of measurement science, data analysis, and automation.
- Advanced understanding of software design principles, OOP, and architecture patterns.
- Strong grasp of multithreading, performance tuning, and real-time data handling.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with BERTs, oscilloscopes or other T&M instruments.
- Familiarity with power electronics, analog/digital circuits, or signal processing.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, Git, Jira, Confluence.
- Test-driven development (TDD) experience.
- Leverage AI/ML techniques to enhance measurement analysis, anomaly detection, and predictive features. -
- Awareness on Secured Software Development Methodologies, Practices and Framework (NIST).
- Solid knowledge of electrical measurements and waveform analysis.
- Hands-on experience in DevOps and build activities.
- Prior experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.
