About the Company
TVSMobility Polymeric product Pvt. Ltd. has been working under the umbrella of the Keswani Group, which is in the Rubber Products’ manufacturing business since 1966. Today, TVSMPPPL has two factories, one dedicated to Silicone Hoses, and the other to Organic Rubber Hoses in EPDM, Nitile, PVC-Nitrile, Vamac, Neoprene, etc. The reinforcement fabrics used are Meta-Aramid, Nomex, and Polyester for the Wrapped Hoses; and Aramid and Polyester yarns for the Extruded Hoses.
About the Role
The Quotation Manager is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely quotations for international customers in the rubber hose manufacturing business. This role involves close coordination with sales, production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure pricing reflects material costs, manufacturing capabilities, and export requirements.
This role involves preparing detailed techno-commercial quotations for export customers, analyzing customer RFQs, and ensuring compliance with international standards.
Responsibilities
- Quotation Preparation
- Prepare detailed techno-commercial quotations for export customers (rubber hoses, wrapped hoses, industrial hoses, etc.).
- Analyze customer RFQs (Request for Quotations), technical drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure all quotations meet customer requirements, international standards, and company capabilities.
- Costing & Pricing
- Develop accurate product costing considering raw materials (rubber compounds, reinforcement materials), labor, overheads, and packaging.
- Factor in export-related costs such as freight, duties, documentation, and compliance.
- Maintain pricing strategies aligned with market trends and company profitability targets.
- Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Production team for feasibility and lead times
- Procurement for raw material pricing
- Quality/Technical team for specifications and compliance
- Export/logistics team for shipping costs and Incoterms
- Support sales team with technical clarifications and pricing discussions.
- Customer Interaction
- Communicate with international clients for clarification of requirements.
- Respond to customer queries related to quotations, specifications, and pricing.
- Build strong relationships with export clients.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure quotations comply with export regulations, standards, and certifications (ISO, SAE, DIN, etc.).
- Maintain records of quotations, cost sheets, and revisions.
- Support audit and documentation requirements.
- Market & Competitor Analysis
- Monitor competitor pricing and industry trends.
- Recommend pricing adjustments and strategies to stay competitive in global markets.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify cost optimization opportunities in materials and processes.
- Improve quotation turnaround time and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Polymer/Chemical preferred) or Commerce with relevant experience.
- 5–10 years in costing/quotation/pricing roles in manufacturing, preferably rubber hose, automotive, or industrial products.
- Experience handling export customers is essential.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of rubber hose manufacturing processes (extrusion, braiding, wrapping, vulcanization).
- Understanding of international standards (SAE, DIN, EN, etc.).
- Strong costing and financial analysis skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel (advanced), and quotation tools.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Incoterms, export documentation, and global logistics.
- Experience in automotive or industrial hose export markets.
- Exposure to CRM systems.
