We have a hybrid working set up and therefore you will be required to attend our Stockholm office twice per week.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Surveying the business and creating a Domain Model
- Design and develop scalable API solutions.
- Ensure APIs are secure, efficient, and easy to use.
- Maintain and update API documentation.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Implementing endpoints for a reference resource/entity (e.g. employee)
- Mentoring and support the software engineers
- Set best practices, guidelines, tools and standards for API development.
- Implement API versioning and lifecycle management.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment.
- Develop and maintain API testing strategies.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and tooling for testing endpoints
- Monitor API usage, performance metrics and scalability.
- Manage API gateways and related infrastructure and costs.
What You’ll Bring To The Team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in API design and development.
- Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience with API management tools (ideally with AWS API Management Service).
- Experience with API security protocols like OAuth, JWT, and SSL.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and cloud platforms.
- Experience with writing Lambda functions (and creating WebHooks)
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Experience with API testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations like GDPR and data formats like JSON and XML.
