Job Description;
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Scrum Master / Product Manager to lead agile teams and drive the successful delivery of high-impact projects. This hybrid role combines leadership in Agile practices with strategic product management, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution. The ideal candidate is both a servant leader for teams and a strategic partner to stakeholders, fostering collaboration, transparency, and innovation.
Managing Stakeholder Expectations: Proactively manage expectations with key stakeholders by providing regular updates on product status, challenges, and successes. Take accountability for ensuring the product aligns with the strategic vision of Quin Design while addressing the needs of customers, business, and engineering teams.
Accountability for Results: Hold yourself and the team accountable for achieving product goals, meeting deadlines, and delivering measurable outcomes. Ensure product features are aligned with business objectives and user needs, and take ownership of product performance through data-driven insights and KPI tracking.
Autonomy in Decision-Making: Operate with a high level of autonomy in shaping the direction of the product. Independently prioritize product features, make informed trade-offs, and guide technical teams on product specifications and requirements. Drive strategic decisions related to resource allocation, timelines, and technical direction without micromanagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Scrum Master Responsibilities:
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Mentor and coach teams on Agile best practices, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Remove impediments and shield the team from distractions to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with business objectives.
Monitor and report on team performance using metrics like velocity, burn-down charts, and cycle time.
Continuous Improvement: Lead retrospectives and ensure that team feedback is used to refine processes and improve efficiency.
Be accountable for the growth and development of the team, ensuring that lessons learned are applied and improvements are made in both product and process.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Define and monitor KPIs to measure product success and guide future development. Leverage tools like Firebase, Tableau, and Google Analytics to collect data and feedback, ensuring that the product evolves based on user engagement, crash detection accuracy, and other relevant metrics.
Team Empowerment: Actively promote team autonomy by empowering engineers and designers to make decisions, encouraging a sense of ownership in product delivery, and fostering a culture of accountability.
Ensure team members have the support they need to succeed, and take responsibility for providing the tools and training necessary to achieve high performance.
Agile Leadership: As Scrum Master, facilitate and promote Agile principles within the development team, ensuring smooth sprint execution, timely delivery of features, and continuous improvement.
Product Manager Responsibilities:
Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, prioritize, and manage product requirements and user stories.
Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity of expectations and deliverables.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product enhancement.
Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality releases.
User-Centric Product Design: Ensure that the product is designed with the user in mind, balancing innovation with usability.
Take accountability for ensuring the final product meets user expectations, with continuous feedback loops and testing integrated into the development process.
Risk Management and Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address risks in both product development and delivery timelines.
Take responsibility for managing challenges that arise, ensuring that solutions are implemented quickly and efficiently. Own the resolution of technical and operational roadblocks, ensuring minimal disruption to product progress.
Retrospective Ownership: Lead continuous retrospectives to identify areas for improvement in both product and process.
Be accountable for creating and implementing actionable plans for improving team performance, product features, and overall development workflows.
Qualifications;
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Product Manager, or in a similar role.
Proven track record of leading Agile teams and delivering successful products in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or equivalent.
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC), Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to manage competing priorities and foster alignment among cross-functional teams.
Process Optimization and Innovation: Introduce initiatives to optimize development processes, reduce inefficiencies, and foster innovation. Be responsible for introducing new Agile practices, technical tools, or workflows that will benefit the team and enhance productivity and quality.
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Take ownership of the cloud infrastructure, leveraging AWS and GCP for scalable, secure, and compliant data storage, processing, and analysis.
Ensure the product adheres to GDPR and data privacy regulations, with full responsibility for managing cloud resources and optimising costs and performance.
Required Skills;

Drive product decisions that directly impact the safety and user experience of Quin Design’s customers, with a focus on delivering high-quality and reliable solutions.
Own the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization through to launch and ongoing product iterations.
Collaborative Leadership: Lead the product development process while ensuring effective collaboration across teams.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and leadership, to align on product goals and deliverables. Foster an environment of open communication and transparency, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the product lifecycle.
Take ownership of guiding the team in adopting best practices, optimizing workflows, and overcoming challenges that arise during development.
Technical Expertise and Hands-On Support: Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, especially in areas of IoT sensor integration, mobile app development, and cloud architecture (AWS and GCP).
Hold technical decision-making responsibility, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with product requirements. Own the technical success of the product by ensuring the integration of BLE, GSM, GPS, and sensor technologies into the MERN stack.
Defining Product Features and Requirements: Lead the creation of user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria for product features such as crash detection, ride analytics, SOS beacons, and sensor integration.
Take responsibility for translating business needs and customer feedback into actionable product features.
Experience in a scaled Agile environment (SAFe, LeSS, etc.).
Technical background or experience working with software development teams.
Familiarity with Lean principles and DevOps practices.
Knowledge and use of Jira Project Management Software
Progress Tracking and Reporting: Use tools like JIRA and Confluence to track sprint progress, monitor velocity, and ensure the team is on track to meet deliverables.
Take responsibility for identifying and addressing roadblocks, removing obstacles, and driving resolution to keep the project on track.
Backlog Management and Prioritisation: Prioritise the product backlog, balancing user impact, technical feasibility, and business value.
Act with full accountability for managing competing priorities and ensuring the most valuable features are delivered on time, with a focus on continuous product improvement and innovation.
