The Financial Analyst will manage data preparation, financial reporting, and data reconciliation to ensure accurate financial insights for decision-making. Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to manage data preparation, reconciliation, and financial reporting. This role ensures accurate and consistent financial data is available to support decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working with large data sets, and a drive to deliver high-quality financial insights. Key Responsibilities: Data Preparation and Management: Gather, organize, and validate financial data from multiple systems (e.g., ERP platforms, internal databases), ensuring completeness and accuracy. Identify and resolve data discrepancies to maintain clean, consistent, and accurate data sets. Maintain financial databases to ensure information is up-to-date, properly formatted, and securely stored. Financial Reporting: Create and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management summaries and variance analyses. Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Excel, Adaptive Insights) to highlight key metrics. Fulfill ad hoc reporting requests for finance, leadership, and cross-functional teams. Work closely with other departments to gather and validate financial data, ensuring that all data used in financial analysis and reporting is accurate and consistent. Data Reconciliation and Integrity: Perform regular data reconciliation between financial systems and other data sources to ensure accuracy and consistency. Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, ensuring timely, accurate reconciliations. Skills and Qualifications: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. 2+ years of experience as a financial analyst, data analyst, consultant, financial auditor, or in a similar role with a focus on reporting and reconciliation. Experience working with financial and reporting systems (e.g., Netsuite, Salesforce, Adaptive Insights, and Tableau) is highly preferred. Skills: Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, nested formulas). Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities in financial data. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and comfort working with large data sets. Effective communicator with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely to various stakeholders. Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Systematic and structured approach to managing financial data and reports.
