We are looking for a Field Quality Control Manager – Ready Mix to join our team in Macon, Ga. As a QC Manager with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will be responsible for developing, managing, implementing, and executing the Quikrete Quality Assurance programs to ensure customer satisfaction.

About the Role
Responsibilities:
Manage field technicians daily work and assist in field coverage as needed.
Maintains comprehensive records on placed concrete to ensure continuous improvement in quality and cost efficiency of concrete mixes to optimize profit contribution, without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.
Responsible for the quality of concrete produced at the plants within the division. Oversees that the concrete mixes to ensure proper mix specifications are used on each order, with special attention to projects requiring unique or “one-off” specifications.
Report monthly, mix optimization, deficiency in mix performance, maintain all records of materials used in production of concrete, evaluates and tests raw materials in accordance with ASTM standards to ensure minimization of product failure.
Assist in the formulation of quality system procedures and work instruction for the continuous improvement of Quikrete-quality system.
Tracks raw materials and product performances to help in the prevention of product failure. Minimizes this risk through the development of trend analysis and product performance records.
Evaluates product quality and performance to establish “Benchmarks” for products and raw materials.
Performs all needed quality control functions required to maintain a superior quality of concrete pursuant to the QA Program.
Ensures batching and raw material control procedures are followed as specified in the QA Program.
Verifies that the procedures and testing performed in an area are technically correct.
Inspects, assesses, and reports on materials, processes, and product capabilities to ensure compliance with established material and product quality and performance standards.
Take appropriate actions to correct material failures and implement processes and procedures to prevent future problems.
Supervises the database maintenance program to ensure that all project mix performance results are recorded and archived in accordance with internal and ACI standards.
Assists the Division Manager on developing and implementing training of production and sales personnel on quality processes and issues to ensure proper mix and delivery of ready mixed concrete.
Monitoring and testing concrete performance during the placement phase to “early-identify” concrete performance problems at jobsite/projects.
Perform functions assigned in QA Program and prepare documentation for control of materials and processes as described in the QA Program.
Communicate and coordinate material test results to Tech Services Manager, Area Managers and material vendors/supplies to ensure timely resolution of material quality-related issues.
Randomly perform project inspections of delivered concrete to ensure product quality. Troubleshoot customer concerns on quality issues.
Communicates with dispatchers and other plant personnel on quality issues.
About You
Bachelor's degree.
Working knowledge of concrete products and production processes.
Working knowledge of concrete and value added and specialty products.
Proficient with MS office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word). Experience with ACI-121 standards and principles.
5 + years progressive experience in construction materials testing
Ability to take and pass the NRMCA Certified Concrete Technology Level III Diploma Understanding of ASTM and ACI standards
ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I
ACI Strength Testing Technician Certification
Local DOT Certifications
Proven team oriented and team-building skills of managing through influence.
Continuing education in all aspects of business management and construction.
LEED GA (Green Building Concepts) Accreditation.
