Head Fashion Designer

Quest Search and Selection is partnering with a renowned fashion retail group in the Gulf region, and they are seeking a talented Head Fashion Designer to join their team in Dubai! This role is all about elevating the product experience with a strong focus on global fashion trends for women. Responsibilities of this role: Strategy & Planning: • Conduct market research on trends, fabrics, and techniques. • Collaborate with the design team to create seasonal themes and mood boards. • Align product development with business strategy. • Oversee the design process from concept to final styling. Designing: • Develop collections with 30-50 options, covering all categories. • Review and finalize collections with the senior designer and MD. • Create CAD pre-designs and technical sheets (Tech Packs). Merchandising: • Maintain and build relationships with suppliers. • Coordinate sample production and approvals. • Plan, review, and order collections for timely arrivals. • Negotiate pricing and ensure high-quality standards. Studio: • Supervise photoshoots, ensuring the collection is presented as envisioned. • Assist stylists in selecting the perfect outfit combinations. People Management: • Lead, coach, and train the design team. • Evaluate team performance and provide necessary support.
