Castings Design

Key Responsibilities: Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings of complex cast and forged components using CAD software – Creo Ensure all designs are compliant with GD&T, material specifications, and industry standards. Collaborate closely with product design, simulation, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM). Interpret and incorporate supplier/tooling inputs into casting/forging models to optimize geometry and reduce rework. Provide engineering support during tooling development, sample approvals, and production launches. Review and update designs based on simulation results (FEA, CFD, mold flow) and customer feedback. Maintain design documentation, version control, and BOM integration with PLM/PDM systems.
