Data Entry Operator I

Responsible for data entering all patient and specimen information into the laboratory information system. Verifies requisitions for completeness of patient and client information Accurately enters all patient and specimen information into laboratory information system (patient name, location, etc.). Responsible for verifying patient names in Navinet or Emdeon for all cases that do not have insurance cards attached and also verifying illegible names in Navinet or Emdeon. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information concerning patients, physicians, employees, clients, vendors, and the Company. Complies with all State, Federal, professional regulations as well as department rules, polices, and procedural manuals. Adherence to Safety Regulations. Adherence to HIPAA Regulations. Ability to learn and work in the Laboratory Information System Performs other duties as assigned.
