Job Description

As a Senior Product Architect / Data Architect / Data Engineer at Quation, you will take a leading role in designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions that enhance data accessibility, reliability, and performance. You will leverage your technical skills and experience to build robust architectures for data processing and analytics, enabling businesses to make data-driven decisions.

Key Skills and Expertise

• Python: Proficiency in Python/PySpark scripting, including transformation logic using DataFrames, with a focus on best practices in scripting.
• Spark: Hands-on experience with Spark (preferably Databricks) and data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, or SQL Server.
• Cloud Solutions: Extensive experience in architecting cloud solutions on AWS and Azure platforms, focusing on scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
• Data Storage and Warehousing: Strong knowledge of cloud storage services (S3, Blob, GCS) and cloud data warehousing (Redshift, SQL Server, BigQuery).
• ETL Processes: Solid experience in designing and implementing ETL projects.
• REST APIs: Familiarity with REST API integrations and their application in data engineering is beneficial.
• Networking Fundamentals: Understanding of virtual machine connectivity, public and private networks (VPCs, Subnets), and security groups in cloud environments.

Years of Experience
• 6 - 10 years of relevant work experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud platform design.

Budget
•Compensation: UPTO 50 LPA

Key Responsibilities
• Architect and implement cloud-based data solutions to support high-performance data processing and analytics.
• Design and develop ETL pipelines for data transformation and processing across cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to define and manage data storage and retrieval strategies.
• Drive the optimization of data workflows and ensure best practices in coding and data handling are adhered to.
• Implement security measures, including network setup (VPC, Subnets, Security Groups), to safeguard data infrastructure.
• Monitor data infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure data availability and accuracy.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience with cloud data warehousing solutions and data processing frameworks such as Spark.
• Strong knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud environments, including data storage, computing, and networking components.
• Hands-on experience in scripting with Python and implementing data transformation logics.

Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Certification in AWS or Azure cloud architecture.
• Experience with Databricks or other Spark-based platforms.
• Demonstrated experience in developing data solutions in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare) is a plus.

Suggested and Preferred Skills
• Proficiency in additional programming languages like SQL and Scala.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.
