Job Overview
The Forecasting Lead will develop product-specific short-term and long-term forecast models, ensuring they are up to date with current data, information, and assumptions. This role involves leading assigned forecasting and business planning processes, including related work streams. The Forecasting Lead will identify and highlight key business issues impacting forecasts, incorporate primary market research, competitive intelligence, data analysis, access and subnational results to reflect anticipated risks and opportunities, and help define and enhance forecasting processes and capabilities. The Forecasting Lead will ensure seamless collaboration and support within the broader forecasting team. Initially, this role role will work closely with the Heme and FP SAI TA forecasting teams, supporting both the ONC and OMNI forecasting teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead T-cycle forecast projects for MTO and T0/BP25.
- Automate performance reporting and handle ad-hoc projects.
- Deliver robust, transparent demand forecasts with documented assumptions and confidence levels.
- Present and defend forecast methodologies and outputs to senior leadership.
- Ensure forecast objectivity using industry-leading modeling approaches and sensitivity analyses.
- Work with Group Managers and Directors to understand business needs and priorities, as well as immediate scope of work
- Develop short- and long-term forecasts for new product introductions.
- Support continuous improvement in forecasting capabilities using advanced methods and data sets.
- Create and manage tools with up-to-date market information to build accurate short- and long-term forecasts
- Work with other team members to pull in insights from primary and secondary data, to continuously improve forecast methods and accuracy
- Communicate the effects that competitor entry, new promotional tactics, etc. will have on product forecasts
- US Market: Participate in monthly S&OP, submit volumes, and develop periodic models and conversions.
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams to develop solutions, gain alignment and deliver impactful business insights; engage necessary stakeholders to enable better decision-making
- Openly share perspective and insights to elevate team thinking and drive a balanced, holistic point of view; effectively weigh and communicate trade-off considerations
- Take an enterprise mindset, linking individual responsibilities with broader organization; focus on outcomes that provide most business value

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years in pharmaceutical or FMCG forecasting roles.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and financial modelling.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical data sources like secondary/subnational sales or claims.
- Experience integrating primary and secondary data into forecasts.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) is a plus.
- Expertise in AI/ML-based forecasting and automation tools.
- Experience with US market forecasting, including promotional and competitor impact analyses.
- Familiarity with tools for FF and S&OP forecasting support.
- Knowledge of inventory reconciliation and demand/supply planning.
Technical Skills
- Forecast modelling tools: Python, R, or Tableau.
- Advanced statistical methods, sensitivity analysis, and AI/ML.
- Pharmaceutical data integration (e.g., SnapView, EAD).
- Hands-on experience with tools for ecosystem performance reviews.
