About the role

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for protecting our organization's information systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. You will work closely with various teams to design, implement, and maintain security measures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our digital assets. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage robust security architectures, tools, and policies. Monitor and analyze security events, identify potential vulnerabilities, and mitigate risks in real-time. Develop and maintain incident response plans, handling security incidents and breaches effectively. Perform regular security audits and assessments to evaluate security controls and identify areas for improvement. Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to detect weaknesses in the system. Provide guidance and recommendations on best practices for secure system configurations and data management. Collaborate with IT and other teams to implement security solutions and prevent data breaches. Keep up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and techniques to proactively defend against emerging threats. Document security procedures and protocols to ensure consistency and adherence to regulatory compliance requirements. Provide support during audits, helping ensure compliance with security regulations and policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role. Strong understanding of network security, firewall management, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and security monitoring tools. Experience with threat analysis, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and incident response. Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS. Proficiency with programming and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for automation and security tasks. Hands-on experience with SIEM tools and security vulnerability scanning platforms. Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar are highly desirable. Strong communication skills, able to work in a collaborative and remote environment. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
