Summary

SUMMARY AND DETAILS OF POSITION

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Statistics and Data Management department. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in the field of clinical research, focusing on the management, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in statistics and data management, with a keen interest in contributing to the success of clinical research studies.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Data Management Support : Assist in data collection, validation, and cleaning for ongoing clinical trials. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of clinical trial data.
  • Statistical Analysis Assistance : Provide support for the preparation of statistical analyses, including basic data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualizations using software such as SAS, R, or Python.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Aid in the preparation of data management plans, statistical analysis plans (SAPs), and other clinical trial documentation as needed.
  • Data Quality Assurance : Review and assist with the implementation of data quality control measures to ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborative Communication : Work closely with project teams, including statisticians, data managers, clinical researchers, and biostatisticians, to support study-related tasks and updates.
  • Learning and Development : Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of clinical trial data management and statistical analysis techniques.

Required Education And Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS, Python) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge or coursework related to clinical research or healthcare data is preferred but not required.
