Position Overview
We are seeking a Quantum Algorithm Researcher to design and analyze the mathematical foundations of our quantum drug discovery tools. This role focuses on developing novel quantum algorithms, optimizing cost functions, and applying advanced linear algebra and probability to improve algorithm efficiency. You will tackle the theoretical challenges of mapping complex molecular problems into quantum-native mathematical models.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and mathematically analyze new quantum algorithms tailored for molecular simulation and optimization.
- Develop advanced error-mitigation strategies and mathematical models to address noise in near-term quantum devices.
- Formulate Hamiltonian mappings and optimize tensor networks for complex chemical systems.
- Analyze the statistical significance of quantum simulation outputs and establish theoretical bounds for algorithmic performance.
- Contribute to patent filings, scientific and software documentation.
Qualifications
Required:
- BS or MS in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a highly related field.
- Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent industry experience in Quantum Computing/Technology.
- Deep understanding of linear algebra, optimization theory, complex analysis, and probability.
- Strong foundation in quantum mechanics, quantum information theory, and quantum algorithms.
Preferred:
- Experience with the mathematical foundations of Quantum Machine Learning (QML) and variational algorithms.
- Proficiency in Python and scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Qiskit, CUDA-Q, Pennylane, or other quantum programming frameworks.
- Experience working with high-performance scientific computing environments is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prior research experience or publication in relevant areas is a plus.
