Role Overview
Desapex is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The
individual will play a key role in managing cost-related aspects of construction projects. While
knowledge of 5D BIM modelling is not mandatory, the candidate should excel in quantity
surveying and cost management activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage project budgets, estimates, and cost plans throughout the project
lifecycle.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to collect relevant information for cost
management.
• Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and conduct quantity take-offs.
• Perform cost forecasting, risk analysis, and value engineering.
• Manage cost control procedures, ensuring accurate reporting of project costs,
contingencies, and cash flows.
• Evaluate contractor claims, variations, and recommend payment certificates.
• Provide guidance to internal teams on cost-related matters.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills:
• Minimum 7 years of experience with Master’s or bachelor’s degree in
architecture/civil/mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Strong expertise in quantity surveying and cost management.
• Experience in cost estimation, BoQ preparation, and cost reporting tools.
• Proficient in tools such as CostX, Excel or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as IS Code, NMR, SMM7, or POMI.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams.
• Experience in mentoring teams or guiding junior professionals is desirable.
