Python Developer

Primary Responsibilities

We are seeking an exceptionally talented Python Developer to join our growing technology team. A successful candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining scalable systems that are critical to our success. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain a scalable backend to support UI initiatives
• Streamline and optimize the existing backend to handle increased scale
• Design and manage account services and account management systems
• Build and maintain robust data infrastructure using AWS cloud services (S3, DynamoDB, ElastiCache)
• Work with AWS services including Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, Amplify, and API Gateway
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance of platform services
• Optimize and automate platform processes to improve operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend and infrastructure-related issues
• Stay up to date with AWS advancements and best practices
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Backend Engineer, or a related role
• Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and its inner workings
• Strong experience in Python programming, including deep understanding of modern (3.10+) features
• Hands-on experience with numerical and data processing libraries (e.g. Pandas, PyArrow, Polars) in a cloud or distributed environment
• Proficiency in Linux environments and system administration
• Experience with scalable backend architectures and cloud-native solutions
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, microservices and messaging patterns
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  
  

The salary range for this role will be between $125,000 and $200,000 per year. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health/dental/vision insurance, Paid Time Off, 401(k) and other benefits eligible to employees. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
