We are currently seeking candidates for the following position!

 

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Responsible for assurance of quality standards through process auditing and in-process inspection of product, as well as incoming inspections of raw materials received at building 2 to ensure that specifications are met.  Reports potential quality related problems to quality management.  Recommends corrective actions, as required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts in-process inspections and audits of processes according to a set schedule to ensure product specifications are met in all aspects of the manufacturing process.
  • Prepares quality reports for trend analysis and identification of problems areas.
  • Assists quality management in identifying, communicating and facilitating the need for changes to enhance process and product quality.
  • Coordinates collection of data for use in the repair process.
  • Conducts daily audits of the repair process to ensure the work instructions are being followed and that the individuals performing the work have been trained.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing and quality management when defects or deviations to specifications are found.
  • Communicates potential quality problems to quality management.
  • Conducts incoming inspection on components from vendors, as required. 
  • Records quality data and transactions.
  • Communicates results in reports and assists in Corrective Action Reports as necessary.
  • Provides support to the repair process during the implementation of new work instructions and changes to existing work instructions.
  • Assists with the implementation of quality program(s) into manufacturing based on ISO requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by identifying all safety hazards and recommending corrective actions when necessary.

·         Responsible for utilizing proper lifting and material movement techniques at all times.

  • Actively works to improve processes in the company.
  • Performs cosmetic checks on units.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) years experience in a manufacturing or service environment required.
  • One (1) year quality auditing experience in a reverse logistics or return environment preferred.
  • Technical experience preferred.

  • Ability to speak, read and write English;
  • Computer literate in a Windows Environment; Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Internet.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Able to climb, stand, stoop and bend.
  • Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods.
  • Able to work in warehouse environment.
  • Able to handle routine assignments of a repetitive nature.
  • Able to perform repetitive motion with hands and arms
  • Able to wear ESD gloves.
  • Good visual acuity.
