Job Summary:
The Packing Supervisor will oversee the packing department, ensuring that all products are
packaged according to company standards and customer specifications. This role requires
strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced
environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Manage daily packing operations, ensuring that products are packaged efficiently
and meet quality standards.• Lead, train, and motivate a team of packers, providing guidance and support to
optimize performance.• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all packaging
meets company and customer requirements.
• Oversee inventory of packaging materials, coordinating with the purchasing
department to maintain adequate supplies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safe
working environment for all team members.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase
efficiency and reduce waste.
• Maintain accurate records of packing activities, including production reports,
inventory levels, and quality control logs.
• Work closely with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and
logistics, to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of packaging processes, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with inventory management software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in a related field
preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing or packaging
environment.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed.
