Job Title: Quantitative Data Analyst
Location: India (Remote)
Employment Type: Long-Term
Salary: ₹12,50,000 – ₹22,00,000 per annum
The Role
We're looking for a quantitatively minded data analyst to join our team and play a hands-on role across data engineering, model development, and research support. You'll work directly with our quant analysts, research team, and co-founder in London, contributing to products that reach institutional users worldwide.
This is a high-impact role in a small, fast-moving team where your work will directly shape the data products and research our clients rely on. You will be expected to think independently, question assumptions in both data and models, and take ownership of delivering reliable, production-ready outputs.
## What You'll Do
Data Collection & Automation
- Maintain and improve our manual and automated data collection and processing pipelines across a range of macroeconomic and financial datasets.
- Build and extend ETL workflows to expand coverage to new markets and data sources.
- Monitor data quality and troubleshoot pipeline issues as they arise, working pragmatically with incomplete or imperfect real-world data and exercising sound judgement.
R&D – Models & Data Products
- Support and contribute to the development of new quantitative models and data products alongside our London-based Quant team.
- Run statistical analyses, backtest signals, and prototype new approaches to emerging market data challenges.
- Contribute to machine learning initiatives — from feature engineering to model evaluation.
Research Support
- Provide cover for our daily market briefing newsletter during analyst absences — sourcing data, writing summaries, and ensuring continuity for clients.
What We're Looking For
**Required**
- Degree in Economics, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, or a closely related field, with solid grounding in macroeconomics.
- Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, and ideally experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn or similar).
- Experience with statistics and/or machine learning — comfort with regression analysis, time series, classification, or related techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal English — you'll be communicating daily with a London-based team and occasionally contributing to client-facing content.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to take ownership of analytical work from initial exploration through to implementation.
*Nice to Have**
- Familiarity with fixed income or sovereign debt markets.
- Experience working with messy, real-world data from government or institutional sources.
- Exposure to NLP or large language model workflows.
- Experience with SQL and cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Interest in emerging and frontier markets.
