Signify Wood
is working towards becoming a Certification Body for forest and wood certification schemes including IWC Certification for TOS, UC, and SM certifications, as well as internationally recognized certification systems such as Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), and Rainforest Alliance certifications.
The organization will be engaged in certification activities related to forest sources and Chain of Custody (CoC) systems to ensure sustainable, traceable, and responsible wood sourcing practices.
In addition, Signify Wood is also planning to establish advanced wood quality testing and certification laboratories to support quality assurance and compliance with national and international standards.
For strengthening our quality and certification operations, we are looking for eligible Quality Managers and technical professionals having qualifications related to wood science, forestry, quality management, environmental sciences, or allied sectors. Candidates with professional training and certifications in standards such as ISO/IEC 17065, ISO 19011, ISO 9001, and other relevant ISO certification and auditing programs will be preferred.
Role Description
seeking a qualified and experienced Quality Manager to support its certification and quality assurance operations in the forest and wood sector. The role involves managing certification quality systems, laboratory quality compliance, auditor competency management, and implementation of international standards related to forest certification and Chain of Custody (CoC) systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with ISO and certification requirements.
Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO/IEC 17065, ISO 19011, ISO 9001, and related accreditation requirements.
Coordinate certification processes related to forest source verification and Chain of Custody (CoC) certification.
Monitor documentation control, internal audits, corrective actions, and continual improvement processes.
Support the establishment and operation of wood testing and quality certification laboratories.
Review audit reports, technical evaluations, and certification records for accuracy and compliance.
Manage auditor competence, training records, and technical qualification requirements.
Coordinate with accreditation bodies, technical experts, laboratories, and certification teams.
Ensure impartiality, confidentiality, and integrity in all certification activities.
Prepare quality manuals, SOPs, policies, procedures, and technical documentation, and preparation of documents required for Certification body accreditation by NABCB
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Wood Science, Forestry, Environmental Science, Quality Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Professional training or certification in:
ISO/IEC 17065
ISO 19011
ISO 9001
Related ISO auditing or accreditation standards
Knowledge of FSC, PEFC, Rainforest Alliance, or forest certification systems will be preferred.
Experience in certification bodies, laboratories, quality assurance, auditing, or compliance management is desirable.
Required Skills
