Its comprehensive approach includes a strong emphasis on education, sports and social welfare. The organisation has grown to encompass 12 units and employs more than 600 people.

Who are we looking for:
The Madras Seva Sadan is seeking a motivated and experienced Quality Management System (QMS) Manager to join the organisation on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will work closely with the appointed ISO consultant to drive the certification process across all units of the organisation. The ideal candidate has 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience implementing ISO standards — particularly ISO 21001 within the service industry — and will demonstrate the organisational acumen required to ensure all units and stakeholders fulfil their certification obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation Management: responsible for driving the end-to-end implementation of ISO 9001 across the organisation’s non-school units and ISO 21001 across its school units.
- Gap Analysis: conduct comprehensive gap analyses across all units to assess existing practices against ISO requirements and identify areas necessitating improvement.
- Documentation: develop, document, and maintain all Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and processes in accordance with the relevant ISO standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: liaise with heads of units and key stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of, and full compliance with, ISO requirements and certification timelines.
- Training and Awareness: organise and facilitate internal audits, training sessions, and awareness programmes for staff across all relevant units of the organisation.
- Corrective Actions: track and monitor all corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) arising from audits and management reviews, ensuring their timely and effective closure.
- Third-Party Audit Coordination and Preparation: manage the relationship with third-party certification bodies, coordinating audit schedules for initial certification, surveillance audits, and re-certification audits. This includes preparing all units through documentation reviews, readiness evaluations, and mock audits, as well as ensuring the timely closure of all Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) raised during the certification process.
- Records Management: maintain all records and registers required under the QMS, ensuring that documentation remains current, accurate, and audit-ready at all times.
- Reporting: provide regular reports to senior leadership on certification progress, emerging risks, and any issues requiring escalation.
- Quality Objectives and KPI Monitoring: establish, monitor, and report on quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) across all units, ensuring that performance against ISO requirements is tracked systematically and that any deviations are addressed on time.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in implementing ISO standards within service-sector organisations is required.
- A degree in Quality Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, combined with experience in quality management.
- Certification as an ISO Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer (ISO 9001 or ISO 21001) is desirable.
- Proven experience with ISO 21001 in the service industry is essential. Prior experience with ISO 9001 is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of quality management principles, process documentation, and audit methodologies is expected.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and organisational functions.
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail are required, along with the capacity to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
- Proficiency in the preparation and maintenance of QMS documentation to the standards required for formal certification is expected.
