Role Description The Quality Inspector role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ambattur. The Quality Inspector will perform routine inspection of plastic and rubber molded components, checking dimensions, visual appearance, and functional requirements against defined specifications. Day-to-day tasks include using measurement tools, completing inspection reports, documenting nonconformities, and coordinating with production teams to address quality issues. The role involves supporting adherence to IATF 16949:2016 requirements, maintaining records, and participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and reduce defects. The Quality Inspector will collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to ensure consistent quality standards and timely delivery to automotive customers.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Control and Inspection, including use of gauges, measuring instruments, and visual inspection techniques.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Assurance and Quality Management, with an understanding of processes, documentation, and compliance with standards such as IATF 16949:2016.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and suggest corrective and preventive actions.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in plastics, rubber, or automotive components, is highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, organized record-keeping, and effective communication with production and management teams.
- Diploma or technical qualification in mechanical, production, or related fields is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
