Job Title: Quality Head – Domestic Wires & Cables
Location: Bhiwadi Factory, Rajasthan
Department: Quality Assurance & Control
Min Experience Required: 15 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Minimum)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Head to lead and manage quality assurance, testing, compliance, and certification processes for our domestic wires and cables manufacturing operations. The candidate will ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction while supporting production, packaging, and market technical requirements
Role and Responsibilities:
Quality & Compliance Management
- Implement and maintain quality systems compliant with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Manage and coordinate BIS and ISO audits, including documentation, preparation, and compliance closure.
- Ensure product compliance with IS 694, IS 1554 Part-1, IS 7098 Part-1, IS 1293 and related cable standards.
- Maintain and improve quality procedures, SOPs, and inspection protocols.
Laboratory & Testing Management
- Manage laboratory operations and ensure accurate testing of house wires and power/control cables.
- Ensure routine, type, and acceptance tests are conducted as per standards.
Customer & Market Technical Support
- Address technical queries from customers, consultants, and sales teams.
- Support sales & marketing teams with product technical data and compliance information.
- Provide root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality complaints.
Packaging & Marketing Data Control
- Verify and approve technical data printed on packaging, labels, cartons, and marketing materials.
- Ensure product ratings, specifications, and certifications are correctly represented.
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with production, purchase, and marketing departments to improve product quality and consistency.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and cost reduction through process optimization.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Indian cable standards and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience in cable and wire testing.
- Audit handling and documentation management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and leadership capability.
- Ability to train and develop shop-floor quality teams.
Additional Preferred Requirements
- Experience in ERP-based quality data management.
- Knowledge of RoHS, REACH, and environmental compliance practices.
- Experience in handling customer and third-party inspections.
- Familiarity with NABL lab practices is an added advantage.
- Capability to develop QC documentation and training programs.
