Company Description Safe Lanes is a client-centric maritime consulting firm specializing in Safety, Health, Security, Environment, and Quality (SHSEQ) Management and vessel operations. The team includes seasoned auditors and inspectors with extensive experience working with leading oil majors such as ExxonMobil, BP, Shell, and Maersk. With over 120 years of combined shipping domain experience and more than 300 audits and inspections completed, Safe Lanes supports clients in meeting industry best practices, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements. The company provides services such as TMSA audits, navigation audits (including remote navigational audits), ISM/ISPS/environmental audits, pre-vetting inspections, incident investigation, risk assessment, and performance measurement. Safe Lanes also offers specialized training programs and an ERP platform aligned with TMSA to optimize vessel operations and data analysis.
Role Description The Quality Executive (QE) is a full-time, on-site position based in Dehradun, focused on supporting and enhancing SHSEQ and quality management processes. The role involves participating in internal quality audits, assisting in compliance checks against industry standards and client-specific requirements, and helping document findings and corrective actions. The QE will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality control procedures, maintain accurate records and reports, and coordinate with operational and technical teams to resolve quality-related issues. Day-to-day tasks include data analysis, preparation of audit documentation, communication with stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across services, training, and solutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Quality Management and Quality Control skills, with an understanding of SHSEQ principles and maritime industry standards.
- Candidates should possess Quality Auditing skills, including experience or training in internal audits, compliance assessments, and documentation of findings.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret audit data, identify trends, and support evidence-based improvement recommendations.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing reports, and interacting with clients and stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree/diploma in marine engineering, nautical science, quality management, or a related field are beneficial.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, TMSA/ISM/ISPS, and maritime regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office or similar tools for data analysis and reporting, and the ability to work in a structured, detail-oriented manner are preferred.
- Prior experience in maritime operations, audits, or safety and quality roles is desirable but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates with strong learning aptitude.
